Abstract
En las fracturas abierta una de las
complicaciones más temidas por los cirujanos
ortopédicos es la infección de partes blandas
y ósea. A pesar de múltiples investigaciones,
las pautas de manejo terapéutico para las
fracturas abiertas continúan en constante
cambio. El objetivo principal de nuestro
trabajo fue realizar una actualización sobre la
prevención de la infección en las fracturas
abiertas a través de una búsqueda
bibliográfica poniendo especial énfasis en la
utilidad de los cultivos (recuento microbiano)
de heridas en el perioperatorio de estas
fracturas.
