Formação científica na Faculdade de Medicina da Universidad de la República, Uruguai:
10 anos desde a incorporação da disciplina de Metodologia Científica II
Resumo
Em 2008, foi aprovado o atual Plano de Estudos da Faculdade de Medicina da Universidad de la República (Uruguai), incorporando disciplinas voltadas ao fortalecimento da formação científica. Na unidade curricular “Metodologia Científica II”, os estudantes devem realizar um projeto de pesquisa orientado por docentes de diversas áreas. Este estudo descreve as características e a evolução das monografias desenvolvidas entre 2014 e 2023.
Foram revisadas 988 monografias publicadas no repositório Colibrí. As variáveis analisadas incluíram ano de elaboração, serviços participantes, tipo de monografia, desenho do estudo, temática médica e alinhamento com os Objetivos Sanitários Nacionais (OSN) de 2020 e 2030. Utilizou-se estatística descritiva. Do total, 731 foram trabalhos originais (74%), 240 revisões narrativas e 17 revisões sistemáticas. Predominaram os estudos descritivos (582) e transversais (459), seguidos de 147 estudos longitudinais prospectivos.
Observou-se crescimento na participação de serviços clínicos e cirúrgicos. Os temas mais frequentes foram “Neoplasias” e “Fatores que influenciam o estado de saúde”, com número relevante voltado a doenças crônicas não transmissíveis.
A produção científica estudantil mostrou-se diversa, com predominância de estudos originais, descritivos e transversais, refletindo a estrutura metodológica do curso. A baixa proporção de trabalhos sobre problemas prioritários, como câncer e doenças crônicas, representa uma oportunidade de alinhar melhor as pesquisas aos OSN. Este é o primeiro levantamento sistemático sobre uma década de produção científica discente neste curso.
