El arte y la medicina familiar: aportes al bienestar de los pacientes, la formación médica y la atención primaria.
Revisión narrativa con énfasis en Uruguay y América Latina
Resumen
Introducción: La incorporación de actividades artísticas en salud ha cobrado relevancia como estrategia de humanización, promoción del bienestar y formación profesional. En medicina familiar, este enfoque es especialmente pertinente por su mirada biopsicosocial y comunitaria. Objetivo: Analizar el papel del arte en el bienestar de los pacientes, la formación médica y la atención primaria, incorporando experiencias de Uruguay y América Latina. Método: Se realizó una revisión narrativa de literatura científica y documentos institucionales. La búsqueda se efectuó en PubMed/MEDLINE, SciELO y Google Scholar, complementándose con revisión manual de referencias y consulta de fuentes institucionales. Se priorizaron revisiones, estudios originales, artículos de humanidades médicas y documentos vinculados con educación médica, humanización de la atención y programas de arte y salud. Desarrollo: La evidencia sintetizada indica que las intervenciones artísticas se asocian con beneficios psicológicos, sociales y, en algunos contextos, fisiológicos; también favorecen la expresión de la experiencia de enfermedad, la comunicación clínica y la percepción de apoyo. En educación médica, las artes y las humanidades se han vinculado con observación clínica, empatía, reflexión ética y medicina narrativa. En América Latina existen antecedentes en políticas de humanización, programas hospitalarios y centros de humanidades médicas; en Uruguay se identifican iniciativas de arte y salud mental, actividades culturales en servicios asistenciales y ofertas formativas en humanidades médicas, aunque la evidencia local publicada sigue siendo limitada. Conclusiones: El arte puede funcionar como herramienta complementaria en medicina familiar y atención primaria, tanto para el bienestar del paciente como para la formación de profesionales y el fortalecimiento comunitario.Descargas
