Abstract

Pachydermoperiostosis, also known as primary hypertrophic osteoarthropathy, is a rare hereditary
disease characterized by soft tissue proliferation and periosteal new bone formation in long bones,
classically presenting with digital clubbing, symmetric periostosis, and joint effusions. Imaging studies
play a fundamental role in evaluating the extent of osteoarticular involvement. We report the case of
a patient with pachydermoperiostosis with knee joint involvement, highlighting magnetic resonance
imaging findings.
