Giant inguinoscrotal hernia with loss of right of domicile
Preoperative preparation with progressive pneumoperitoneum
Abstract
Patients with giant inguinoscrotal hernias are rare, and this condition, which affects the patient’s quality of life, poses a challenge for the surgical team. This paper presents a clinical case and its resolution, initially with the implementation of a progressive pneumoperitoneum and subsequently a two-stage surgical procedure: first, repair of the parietal defect with Lichtenstein hernioplasty, and second, scrotoplasty with orchiectomy and neoscrotal reconstruction.
