COVID-19 in neurological practice:
challenges and opportunities
Abstract
In the current pandemic due to the new coronavirus, designated by the WHO as COVID-19, the doctors of the intra and pre-hospital emergency systems, doctors of the first level of care, those who carry out decentralized practice with home visits and at the other extreme, Internists and intensivists are the most affected by work overload, diagnostic and therapeutic challenges, and exposure to risks that are still partially understood. The eminently respiratory commitment focuses the attention of these patients on the pulmonary sphere and ventilatory management in the most serious patients. (...)
