Continuous publication, new stage of AnFaMed
Abstract
On behalf of the AnFaMed Executive Committee, we are pleased to announce the start of a new stage of our magazine. As we all know, AnFAMed publishes two issues per year, but as of April 2020, those accepted articles that have gone through the stages of revision, correction originals and design will be published on the magazine's website, without waiting for the issue to close. The article thus published will already have its own identifying number (DOI) and can be cited without difficulty. This modality should be differentiated from the preliminary publication, since the published article is a final version, revised and corrected. The main objective of the new model is to accelerate the communication process. Thus, AnFaMed adheres to the new standard for scientific publications: articles are published online in their final form as soon as they have been evaluated, corrected and edited, thus shortening the time between the submission of the article to the journal and its appearance in the public light, without altering the quality of the published material. Of course, a publication model that is so different from the traditional one also implies a change in the workflow of the magazine. The immediacy of electronic publishing offers an opportunity to innovate, improve processes and meet the needs of updated information. We hope that our community of author-readers welcomes these modifications and we thank our editorial team for making this step possible today.
